Building Surveys

Level 1

An RICS Level 1 Survey is typically the lowest priced survey.

It is aimed at recently built or new homes.

This report will:

  • show the condition of the property,
  • offer guidance to legal advisers, and
  • highlight defects in need of urgent attention

Level 2 with and without valuation

An RICS Level 2 Survey includes all the features of the RICS Level 1 Survey, plus:

  • if requested, a market valuation and insurance rebuild costs
  • advice on defects that may affect the value of the property with repairs, and
  • ongoing maintenance advice

Level 3

An RICS Level 3 Survey is essential for more comprehensive or older properties, or if you are planning major works. The most comprehensive report, it provides you with:

  • an in-depth analysis of the property's condition
  • advice on defects, and repairs, and
  • maintenance options.
